Let yourself plunge into Bali’s fascinating culture as you immerse yourself in a one-day exploration of a selection of beautiful, less-touristic locations, including the Water Palace: Taman Ujung, Candidasa, and Sidemen Village.
Your journey will start as you are picked up from your hotel and head to eastern Bali. Known as the “New Bali”, this area is the most remote spot on the island that offers an exotic area with scenic mountains and ancient temples.
The first checkpoint of the day is the astonishing Taman Ujung Water Palace. The spot has undergone extensive renovations since it was nearly devastated by the nearby volcano’s eruption, Mount Agung in 1963. The palace teases your adventurous side to explore the pool network as well as the historic structures set back to back with an amazing backdrop of the shoreline. Your journey is continued by following the shoreline and observing the traditional salt farmers who work under the scorching sun to gather the tastiest sea salt in the world to be served in front of you. Afterward, visit Kusamba to learn about traditional salt-panning directly from the artisans and let yourself try the exotic process of it.
Following your salt-panning experience, Sidemen village is your last checkpoint. This place is comparable with those of Ubud. Offers you a magnificent view of agricultural valleys that form the hill to the imposing peak of Mount Agung with a vast panorama of rice terraces, farmlands, and eccentric villages closely sitting in hills and valleys. Lastly, you can also cool your body at the Monkey Bar swimming pool in the lush forest of Dawan.
